Hadhramout University and “Media Sack” Foundation Sign Partnership Agreement to Train Students in Media Fields

Hadhramout University signed a cooperation agreement today with the Media Sack Foundation for Media and Development, aimed at training students in media and development-related fields, thereby contributing to bridging academic study with practical application.

The agreement was signed at the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, in the presence of senior representatives from both parties.

The Vice President of the University for Student Affairs, Prof. Salem Mubarak Al-Awbathani, stated that this agreement reflects the university’s strategic orientation toward openness and collaboration with civil society institutions, with the aim of enhancing students’ competencies and preparing them to meet the requirements of the labor market.

For her part, the Executive Director of the foundation, Ms. Arena Basumaeel, presented an overview of Media Sack’s key training programs, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to providing a professional environment for refining and developing students’ talents, particularly in media-related tracks.

Following the signing ceremony, Mr. Khaled Jamal, Director of the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, led the foundation’s delegation on a field tour that included the University Language Center, the Student Training Center, and the Entrepreneurship and Business Incubator Center.

The delegation reviewed the facilities and capabilities of these centers and discussed the implementation of joint training programs integrating media and entrepreneurship.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Salem Bin Salman, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Mohammed Baqi, Head of the Media Club, and Mohsen Bayousuf, Project Coordinator at the foundation.
