Dr. Khanbash Briefs the Prime Minister on Hadhramout University’s Performance, Development Initiatives, and Current Challenges

The President of Hadhramout University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Khanbash, provided a detailed briefing today, Tuesday, in the Interim Capital Aden, to the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaea Mohsen Al‑Zandani, on the university’s educational and academic activities, the performance of its various faculties, and the university’s plans for developing its academic and research programs.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Khanbash discussed with the Prime Minister the most significant challenges facing the university and its urgent needs at the current stage. He reviewed the efforts being made to maintain the stability of the educational process, enhance the quality of higher education and scientific research, and strengthen partnerships with academic institutions at both the national and international levels. These efforts aim to prepare qualified graduates capable of meeting labor market demands and contributing to development priorities.

For his part, Dr. Shaea Mohsen Al‑Zandani reaffirmed the government’s commitment to investing in higher education as a fundamental pillar for the development of local communities. He emphasized the importance of continuing to improve academic and administrative performance, enhancing university outcomes, aligning them with national development plans, and encouraging scientific research and innovation.

The meeting was attended by the University Secretary‑General, Mr. Abdullah Alawi Eided, and the Director General of the University President’s Office, Mr. Hussein Abdullah Basulaib.
