The Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, Hadhramout University, recently organized a specialized training course entitled “Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Life-Saving Skills” for fourth-year nursing students. The initiative forms part of the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to strengthen students’ clinical competencies and enhance their preparedness for professional practice in emergency and critical care settings.
The course was inaugurated by Mr. Ali Bajamza, Coordinator of the Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, who expressed his appreciation to Dr. Aisha Zinji for her valuable contribution to the delivery of the training program. He emphasized the Unit’s commitment to organizing additional training courses and professional development initiatives designed to enrich students’ academic and practical capabilities and better equip them for the evolving demands of the healthcare sector.
The training program aimed to develop participants’ knowledge and practical skills in the rapid and safe management of cardiac and respiratory arrest cases, as well as other life-threatening emergencies. Through hands-on instruction and simulation-based learning, students gained essential competencies that contribute to improved emergency preparedness and effective clinical response.
The course was conducted under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Hanashi, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at Hadhramout University, as part of the Faculty’s broader commitment to advancing healthcare education and supporting the preparation of highly qualified nursing professionals who can deliver quality patient care and respond effectively to emergencies.
