Prof.  Abdullah Said Al-Jaidy, supervising the master’s thesis discussed in the Department of History of the Faculty of Arts of the Hadhramaut University on Sultan Ali Ben Mansour Al-Katheri , stressed the importance of the letter, which was based on the vertical handling of historical events concerning modern Hadhramaut, after most research focused on public subjects.

This thesis is the first in the study of the second Kathiri Sultanate, and the second at the level of the Kathiri Sultanate after the message of Abdul Hakim Al Ameri, may God have mercy on him, on the authority of Sultan Badr Abi Tuwairq, with the presence of two messages, one about the Al-Quaiti Sultanate and the other from Al-Kasadiya.

on the morning of Sunday, 13 December 2019, at Graduate Hall of the Faculty of Arts, hosted  a viva voc examination session of the scholar’s master’s thesis: Abdallah Irfan Salem ibn Abidallah, Faculty of Arts, Hadhramaut University , which specializes in history and entitled (Sultan Ali bin Mansour Al-Qadri and his political, social and economic role in the second Sultanate, 1927-1938).

The Examination committee consisted of:

Prof. Abdullah Saeed Al-Jaidi, chairman and Supervisor, HadhramautUniversity .

Prof.  Khaled Salem Bawazeer as an internal discussion, Hadhramout University.

Dr. Mahmoud Ali Al-Salmi, external discussion, the University of Aden.

The study dealt with an important topic from the modern history of Hadhramaut, namely Sultan Ali bin Mansour Al Kathiri and his political, social and economic role in the second Kathiri Sultanate. In Aden, the researcher revealed the political, social and economic reality during the reign of Sultan Ali bin Mansour Al Kathiri in that era of Hadhramaut’s  modern history.

The Examination Committee commended the scientific effort of the scholar Abdallah Irfan Salim ibn Abedallah and awarded him a master’s degree with distinction.

A number of staff members, heads of scientific departments, researchers and interested persons attended the discussion
