A workshop on discussing the development of a bachelor’s program in English for Business Communication at the College of Arts/HU

Prof.  Abdullah Saleh Babair, deputy President of Hadhramout University for Academic Affairs, expressed the gratitude of the university leadership for the effort made to create a bachelor’s program in the English language for commercial communication, pointing out that this effort is part of the scientific and academic movement in the field of relentless pursuit of academic development, stressing that if the current circumstances were good the Hadhramout University would have reached advanced stages, especially since it had signed an agreement with the Council for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance in the Republic of Yemen

This came at the opening of a workshop to discuss the development of a bachelor’s program in English for commercial communication, in the presence of the Deanship of the Arts College, English language staff and a number of representatives of institutions, the commercial sector and banks in the governorate.

Prof. Muhammad Awad Barshid, Dean of the College of Arts, said that this workshop comes within the mission and vision of the college to serve the community and the labor market and to enable students to communicate commercially according to serious scientific foundations.

Dr. Atef Al-Tamimi, deputy Dean for Quality Affairs, indicated that this qualitative program will open new horizons for university students in the labor market in institutions, companies and commercial banks internally and externally.

While Prof.  Khaled Belkhasher, representing the Department of English at the college of Arts, indicated that the workshop will discuss the main themes that will be adopted for the program in order to come up with recommendations and results in order to achieve the desired goals of this program.

Prof. Hassan Obaid Al-Fadhli, program coordinator, said that the English Language Program in Business Communication comes after reviewing similar programs in other international universities, indicating that enriching the program will lead to achieving the desired goals and objectives for this program.
