The Department of Media at Hadhramout University receives a delegation from the Department of Media at the University of Aden

On Tuesday morning, November 20, 2018, the Department of Journalism and Media at the college of Arts at Hadhramaut University received a delegation from the Media Department of the University of Aden, who is visiting the city of Mukalla, headed by the head of the department, Dr. Muhammad Ali Nasser.

The delegation, consisting of college members, master’s and bachelor’s students, was received by the Vice Dean of the college of Arts for Academic Affairs, Dr. Abbas Bafarj, and the Head of the Press and Media Department, Dr. Doaa Salem Bawazeer, college members, and the assistant college in the department.

On the sidelines of the visit, a meeting was held with the visiting delegation. At the outset, the head of the department welcomed the guests, conveying to them the greetings of the President of the University, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Khanbash, and reviewed the march of the Press and Media Department at Hadhramaut University since its establishment until today, explaining that many of the department’s outputs practice press and media work in many ways. Dr. Doaa explained that the department has a local radio station run by students, as well as a television studio that trains and rehabilitates students on the practical side.

He thanked the university’s president, deputy dean, and head of the department.To provide the local market with media cadres in various regions of Yemen, announcing that the department will transform into a college in the coming period.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of talk and discussion in the context of learning and benefiting from the experience of each party in the academic and practical fields.

The delegation toured the university’s radio studio as well as the television studio and expressed their admiration and appreciation for the warm reception.
