Physics
Overview Of Physics
The established of the Physics Department was in the academic year 1974/1975 which the same year of the establishment of the College of Education-Mukalla that followed Aden University. However, the study in the College started by diploma program. The Department witnessed all the College developments in the academic year 1980/1981, when the study developed to BSc program. In 1995 Hadhramout University was established and the College of Education joined the University. Physics Department automatically became one of the main departments in the College. When the College of Sciences was established in 2005, Physics Department became one of its five departments. The Department grants BSc degree of Sciences/ Physics.

- To prepare high qualified graduates that meet the needs of the national specialized institutions.
- To develop the quality of university education by providing students with the basic knowledge and skills in the field of physics so they can keep up the progress of science and technology.
- To continuously develop the teaching staff members to maintain the high degrees of efficiency and performance.
- To activate and encourage scientific cooperation and exchange of experiences and efficiencies with departments, colleges and relevant national and regional centers.
- To provide a distinct research environment for scientific and applied research that serves the community.
- To activate and encourage the translation and authorship works.
- To plan to develop the department capabilities in order to open and support the postgraduate program in the future.
