A joint cooperation agreement was signed between science college at Hadhramout University and the public Authority for Agricultural Research in the eastern coast in Hadhramout at University Presidency to strengthen the partnership between the two sides, especially with regard to the agricultural field. It was signed by Prof. Raed Bathan; Dean of Science College, and Eng. Amjed Bagwego; General Director of the public Authority for Agricultural Research in the East Coast. Moreover, Prof. Abdullah Saleh Babair; Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Hadi Salem Al-Sabban; Vice President for postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research attended the agreement signing.
Prof. Raed Bathan explained that this agreement aims to contribute in establishing new programs for the postgraduate studies course such as opening a doctoral program in Life Sciences Department which will achieve the desired goals in the coming years and contribute to serving Hadhramout and other governorates. It is also the first joint cooperation with the Public Authority for Agricultural Research and the rest of the other parties which will contribute in finding many solutions to societal problems, especially the agriculture field since Hadhramout is famous for its great agricultural history.
On his part, Eng. Amjad Bagwego, indicated that this agreement is the beginning of scientific and academic cooperation between the two parties, to benefit from the capabilities and expertise of them. Consequently, it will solve many existing problems, especially the lack of research staff in the agricultural field due to the conditions the country is going through. It will also open new fields between Hadhramout University and the Agricultural Research Authority, to serve the community in the governorate.
