On Monday morning, February 28 , 2022 , The deanship of Sciense & Education Faculties in Al-Galila Complex held the awareness symposium for Safety and Civil Defense ” March 1st”.
where the Civil defense delegation was received by Prof. Gazi Ahmed Alrasheadi, Dean of Science Faculty , Dr. Saeed Salmeen Belafair, Dean of Education Faculty, Prof. Mohammed Hadi Al Doh, deputy dean for academic affairs , Dr. Kamal Ahmed Ba’om, deputy dean for students affairs and Dr. Suzan Saeed Baghwita, deputy dean for student affairs at Education Faculty.
The delegation was composed of Colonel Saeed Al-Haj Abdul Rahim, Director of the Civil Defense Department, Hadhramout coast, Colonel Salah Salem bin Hamel, Deputy Director of the Civil Defense Department, 2nd Lieutenant Ahmed Ramadan Bahshwan, Head of the Supply Department at the Department, and trainer/ Ghassan Abdullah Dahdah.
The awareness symposium began with verses from the Holy Quran, after which Prof. Ghazi Ahmed Al-Rashidi welcomed the guests and noted the importance of security, laboratory safety and community safety.
Then a speech on the occasion of the World Civil Defense Day by Colonel Saeed Haj Abdel Rahim, where he focused in his speech on the importance of raising awareness among citizens about how to avoid domestic and laboratory accidents.
Then Mr. Ghassan Abdullah Dahdah gave a presentation on the types of fires and how to avoid them, the types of fire extinguishers and how to use them, as well as how to deal with and avoid domestic fires.
This Symposium was attended by Prof. Khaled Omar Al-Bayti, Head of the Physics Department of Science Faculty , Dr. Mohammed Saleh Bashnini, Head of the Chemistry Department of Science Faculty , Dr. Saeed Baozir, Faculty of Education, and students of colleges at different specialization and levels.
